ZKW Honored with VW Group Award
Austrian lighting system specialist ZKW received the 2019 Global VW Group Award for the first time on July 4th in Leipzig. The Volkswagen Group used the award to honor the company’s excellent delivery flexibility and reliable part supply – for example for headlamps in the Porsche Macan series. “We place a very high premium on good, cooperative relationships with our clients. That’s why we are especially proud of this award, which underscores the appreciation of the VW Group,” explains Oliver Schubert, CEO of the ZKW Group.
This year’s 17th award ceremony was attended by over 200 guests from 19 countries. A total of 130 of the VW Group’s roughly 40,000 suppliers took part in the competition. The award was given out in six categories, reflecting the most important areas of the Volkswagen Group’s ongoing transformation. Of the eight finalists, ZKW received the award in the category of Performance Champions Global. “We have the entire workforce to thank for this honor, as they facilitated this success through their work and commitment” says Joachim Amrhein, Group Vice President Sales of the ZKW Group.
