Project Management Customer Engineer

Main Goal

In this challenging position you will be responsible of manage the project team members and project staff and follow up activities derived from the Integrated Management System in the areas of quality, environmental, health and safety with due consideration to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Coordination of project disciplines at the local P-location on behalf of the project manager.
Development of a consensual solution with the local line organization.
Escalation to the responsible core team members and project managers.
Presentation of the local project organization (including subprojects) adequate for the scope of the project with the project core team members.
Schedule tracking of the local tasks.
Documentation of the project sequence and intermediate results.
Local project communication at the P-location (eg. regular team meetings, accessible project documentation).
Crisis / risk management (identification of potential risks / planning of corresponding measures) at the P-location.
Ascertain the personnel development requirements (information in the line).
Cooperation with the creation of offers for additional services as required by the customer.
Clear documentation of the planning and results.
Personal contact for local customer representatives.

Qualifications

University degree (Mechatronic engineering, Industrial design).
Work experience: 3 years of experience in light automotive parts projects
Knowledge and experience in headlamps.
Experience working with customer GM
Work team player
Innovation capabilities
Analytic/Problem solving skills
Proactive person
Good communication skills
Implementation capabilities
Self-motivated
Very good English/Spanish skills
Knowledge on methods (eg. planning/decision techniques, work techniques, presentation techniques, quality techniques (eg. FMEA, MSA, SPC), presentation technology, project controlling, etc.)
Basic knowledge of project management-specific IT tools (Teamcenter, Outlook, etc.).
