Design Engineer – GD&T Expert

In this exciting position you have the overall responsibility for the development of automotive-lighting-systems in the ZKW Engineering Hub in Czech Republic

Tasks:

  • Ensuring accurate geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) of components in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 1101 or equivalent)
  • Reviewing individual projects and providing expert direction to designers on dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Establishing and maintaining strong collaboration with the Measurement and Production departments to ensure alignment on GD&T application and Tolerance Simulations
  • Close collaboration with the Tolerance Analysis Department to coordinate and verify results
  • Developing, maintaining, and updating design guidelines, design rules and training materials related to GD&T
  • Conducting training sessions for designers and other team members to enhance GD&T knowledge globally
  • Supporting the implementation of process improvements and best practices in GD&T across projects

Qualifications:

  • Technical education from University of Applied Sciences, technical college or similar work experience
  • Practical knowledge of plastics molding process, basic knowledge of sheet metal processing and die casting
  • Experience with construction of components, knowledge of CATIA or NX would be an advantage
  • High level of practical experience with GD&T including updates of methodology
  • Creativity and affinity to industrial design
  • Willingness for travelling to remote sites
  • English C1 level, MS office skills, driving licence
