Electronics System Engineer

Join our global Electronics Engineering team and help define electronic system architecture for cutting‑edge ZKW lighting products. You will support development and project teams by designing electronics architecture, defining EE requirements, coordinating suppliers and customers, and ensuring seamless system integration throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all electronics architecture aspects are considered from early development phases.
  • Provide clear technical guidance on electronics systems, interfaces, and component behavior.
  • Translate customer and project requirements into feasible electronics solutions.
  • Coordinate electronics‑related topics with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Support development teams in integrating electronic systems into overall product concepts.
  • Maintain system documentation and ensure compliance with internal processes and standards.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and support verification/validation activities on a system level.
  • Support creation of project‑relevant EE deliverables and ensure their consistency in PLM and documentation tools.

Who are we looking for?

  • Completed technical education with focus on electronics (High school, HTL, FH, University, or similar).
  • Very good English skills (daily communication).
  • Experience with automotive EE architectures and bus systems.
  • Basic understanding of optics, thermal topics, and mechanical interfaces.
  • Independent, structured and proactive working style.
  • Accuracy in working with technical documents and requirements.
  • Enjoy teamwork in an international environment.

Advantages:

  • Experience in automotive electronics system integration.
  • Knowledge of Vector CANoe or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with EMC processes.
  • Understanding of Functional Safety principles.
  • Experience with Restbus Simulation or PLM tools.
