Wieselburg, 19.1.2018. The ZKW Group regularly hires new employees at its different national and international locations. To provide its new employees with a good start and offer them possibilities for their further development, the ZKW Group focuses strongly on nurturing young recruits.
ZKW is a “MINT Minded Company”
In this respect, ZKW has also been honoured as a MINT Minded Company. On the basis of its “MINT Minded Company” initiative, “audimax Medien GmbH” points the way to others, and awards prizes to excellent employers. The MINT qualifications cover the areas of mathematics, information technology, the natural sciences and technology (MINT). This award aims to put the public spotlight on employers who work especially hard in nurturing young employees, talented staff and professionals. In 2017, the ZKW Group was among 80 companies to be selected for the MINT Guided seal. The seal is not available to buy and is only awarded subsequent to nomination. The awarding of the “MINT Guided seal” not only has the goal of highlighting the importance of employees for a successful company, but also their relevance to the existence and future development of economic locations.
ZKW among the “Best Recruiters”
In the scope of the Best Recruiters study 2017/2018, the ZKW Group also made it into the group of “Best Recruiters”. ZKW took 5th place in the category of “Automotive” and therefore improved by three places. That means it now occupies 125th place overall (of the 412 employers to be tested), an overall improvement of 57 places in the overall rankings.
ZKW was found to be a highly rated employer for nurturing young staff in many areas. The ZKW Group primarily employs school leavers and university graduates who have studied technology, IT and maths, and supports both them by offering internships in a variety of areas. Moreover, the company also collaborates with students who are completing academic research projects, offering graduates and professionals a wide range of specialist training programmes as part of the company’s in-house CTC education and training programme. To support new employees in their new role, a mentoring system has also been introduced at ZKW with the goal of ensuring that every newly appointed employee is supported by a mentor, who is available to give them help and advice – especially at the beginning – and support them if they have any questions on the company’s processes or the company in general.
