Zero-defect quality achieved
The ZKW site in Dalian, China, has been rewarded for its high delivery quality with the next award. Last year, the lighting systems specialist already received the Outstanding Contribution Award from the Chinese automotive group Geely. With the Lynk & Co 09 Quality Contribution Award, the vehicle manufacturer honours the faultless quality of the LED front headlights that ZKW Dalian develops and manufactures for the Geely SUV Lynk & Co 09. The complaint indicator reached zero per million headlamps manufactured, thus achieving the goal of defect-free quality. “The entire team at ZKW Dalian deserves great thanks and respect for this extraordinary achievement,” emphasises Dr Steger.

Comprehensive production for Geely
In addition to high-quality lighting for the Lynk & Co 09, ZKW Dalian also develops and produces headlights, fog lights and auxiliary lights for other Geely models – including the SUV models Xingyue L, Lynk & Co 01, 02, 03, 05 as well as the hybrid car LEVC XE08. There are also plans to produce lighting systems for future vehicle models of the group. In addition, automotive lighting systems for brands such as BMW, Porsche, Audi and Volvo are developed and produced at the Chinese ZKW site, which now employs more than 1,000 people. Even during the pandemic, it was possible to manufacture almost continuously at full capacity. “This has given ZKW Dalian a particularly important role for the ZKW Group. We will be investing more here,” says Dr Steger.
