for narrow headlamps with full performance

Excellence in design

Human beings are determined to spot and interpret faces everywhere. That’s why carmakers try to design the front of cars with precise facial expressions. The reduced size of the stripeZ lighting modules make it possible to integrate headlights on a level previously unimaginable. stripeZ also won the category of Excellent Product Design – Automotive Parts and Accessories

Advantages

stripeZ light modules for headlamps are significantly smaller when compared to commonly available technologies, with the same lighting performance. This opens up a range of new possibilities both in terms of headlamp design and function.

In addition to the optical advantages they offer, the stripeZ product family also creates added room in the headlamp housing because they take up very little space. This additional space allows manufacturers to create visually appealing solutions for integrating sensors in the housing, while creating headlamps with the same cubic volume. This aspect will become more important in the future, particularly in relation to autonomous driving.

The stripeZ product family offers a consistent language of design for all of its main lighting functions, regardless of the technology used. In the past, visually inconspicuous bezels have typically been used to upgrade headlamp appearance. stripeZ offers designers the option of choosing any color and texture for the module’s outer shell, without the need for a bezel. This offers added support for the modules’ sleek design on the one hand, making every headlamp a visual highlight.

stripeZ light modules help make headlamps more orderly and structured, while allowing the different lighting functions to be split into multiple modules (2, 3, 4, or based on a multiple review principle). Depending on the desired appearance, one can also choose whether all modules are to light up simultaneously or not. This creates an even wider range of design options for each headlamp.

Despite its small size, stripeZ definitely keeps up with “large” light modules in terms of performance. The height of the visible optical lens is just 22 to 30mm, a significant difference in terms of design freedom compared to the regular lens height of around 50mm.

stripeZ product family

stripeZ was developed with multiple aspects in mind. In addition to its design, which differentiates the stripeZ significantly from other products, its consistently high lighting performance and the design freedom it offers (thanks to its smaller size) also play an important role. In addition, stripeZ is able to maintain the same cubic volume, while offering the installation space that will be key to the future of light in the age of autonomous driving. The stripeZ product family includes three different categories, which are divided into individual module types. These each have different functions, and all of the products in the entire family are able to offer full light power despite their greatly reduced size. Due to their small size and reduced weight, stripeZ modules are an excellent choice for use in flat front headlamps.

stripeZ | Basic Modules

stripeZ | Basic Modules project high-quality apron, low beams and/or high beams. Basis modules in the stripeZ family are characterized by their especially high efficiency, despite having a very flat optical lens. The Uni-module is considered the entry-level projection module: It is used in apron lighting, as well as in low beams and/or in high beams. Bi-modules, however, combine high and low beam functions in just one module, which allows this option to save even more space and weight in the headlamp.

stripeZ | Pixel Modules

stripeZ | Pixel Modules were developed especially for adaptable light and glare-free high beams. The stripeZ | Pixel modules uses a total of 48 LEDs to achieve a higher resolution of around 1°, allowing for situation-specific low beams that can adapt to different circumstances like driving speed or weather conditions, as well as precise high beam masking scenarios. An additional module is also required with the stripeZ | Pixel Module to cover all headlamp low beam functions. The number of modules used in the headlamp will depend on the vehicle’s specific lighting requirements.

stripeZ | Matrix Modules

The stripeZ | Matrix and Matrix Bi-Modules are the best entry-level options for glare-free high beams. While the Matrix pair of modules requires an additional low beam module, the Bi-Matrix pair of modules saves space by integrating both the low beam and high beam: this option saves even more space and weight in the headlamp.

Lens holder design inspirations

To underscore the slim design of the product family even further, the stripeZ optical lens holder allows designers to choose any color and texture for the shell surface, without the need for bezels.

A good idea finally always has a simple and easy-to-understand appearance even when hard work is behind it.
