for narrow headlamps with full performance

Excellence in design

Humans are shaped to recognize and interpret faces. Accordingly, the design of car fronts is also becoming increasingly important. The headlights in a car - like the eyes in a person - express the character. The small size of the stripeZ light modules opens up previously unimagined possibilities. In addition: stripeZ is Winner in the category Excellent Product Design - Automotive Parts and Accessories

Advantages

stripeZ light modules for headlights have significantly smaller dimensions compared to conventional technologies with the same light performance. This opens up a multitude of new possibilities in the design and function of headlights.

In addition to the optical advantages of the small module size, the stripeZ product family also creates additional free space in the spotlight housing thanks to the reduced space requirement. This additional space allows visually appealing solutions for the integration of sensors in the housing with the same headlight cubature. This aspect will become increasingly important in the future, especially with regard to autonomous driving.

The stripeZ product family offers a consistent design language for all main lighting functions, regardless of the technology used. In order to enhance the appearance of headlights, light modules have usually been covered with visually unobtrusive covers. stripeZ offers the option of freely selecting the color and structure of the module’s cover and dispensing with panels altogether. On the one hand, this additionally supports the slim design and makes every spotlight a visual highlight.

stripeZ light modules create order and structure in the spotlight and also allow the different lighting functions to be split into several modules (2, 3, 4 or even more eyes). Depending on the desired appearance, you can also specify whether all modules should always light up at the same time or not. This creates an even wider range of design options for each spotlight.

Despite its small size, stripeZ clearly keeps up with the “big” light modules in terms of performance. The height of the visible lens is only 22 to 30 mm, which means a considerable difference in design freedom compared to the regular lens height of usually around 50 mm.

  • the light output is comparable to that of larger modules
  • Scalable in terms of performance
  • performs well in IIHS and NCAP ratings1
  • and is of course ECE, CCC and SAE approvable2

stripeZ product family

stripeZ was developed with several aspects in mind. In addition to the design, which sets stripeZ apart from other products, the undiminished lighting performance and design freedom due to the small installation space required also played an essential role. In addition, stripeZ enables the installation space that will be important for the future of light in the age of autonomous driving, even with the same cubic volume. There are three different categories in the stripeZ product family, which are subdivided into individual module types. These each have different functions, although the fact that they provide full light output despite their greatly reduced size applies equally to all products in the entire family. Due to their small size and reduced weight, the stripeZ modules are clearly predestined for use in flat headlights.

stripeZ | Basic Modules

The stripeZ | base modules project high-quality apron, low beam and/or high beam light. The basic modules of the stripeZ family are characterized by a particularly high level of efficiency despite their very flat lens. The so-called Uni module is the entry-level model in the field of projection modules: It is used in the apron lighting as well as in the low beam and/or high beam. Bi-modules, however, combine the low beam and high beam functions in just one module: this variant also saves space and weight in the main headlamp.

stripeZ | Pixel Module

The stripeZ | Pixel modules have been specially developed for adaptable light and glare-free high beam. Using a total of 48 LEDs, the stripeZ | Pixel module achieves a higher resolution of around 1°, enables situation-based low beam that adapts to different conditions, such as driving speed or weather, and precise high beam masking scenarios. The stripeZ | Pixel module also requires an additional module to cover the full low beam function in the headlamp. The number of modules used in the headlamp depends on the specific lighting requirements of the vehicle.

stripeZ | Matrix Modules

The stripeZ | Matrix and Matrix Bi modules open the door to glare-free high beam. While the Matrix module pair requires an additional low beam module, the Bi-Matrix module pair offers space-saving low beam and glare-free high beam: this variant saves additional space and weight in the main headlamp.

Lensholder design inspirations

To further emphasize the sleek design of the product family, the stripeZ lens holder offers the option of freely defining the color and structure of its surface and dispensing with bezels altogether.

A good idea finally always has a simple and easy-to-understand appearance even when hard work is behind it.
